Juniper predicts 50% growth in China, and moves production to Taiwan

February 18, 2016

Networking products vendor Juniper Networks is predicting that sales of its business use networking products will increase by 50% this year in the Greater China area.

Eric Lin, the company’s manager in Taiwan, made the prediction. He added that Juniper’s new EX-series of Ethernet switches, to be released in the second quarter of 2016, will help push up sales.

The EX series of Ethernet switches are powered by Juniper’s JUNOS software. They have been designed to meet the needs of the network infrastructure of technical, business and economic sectors.

Juniper recently started outsourcing some of the production of its business use switch products to Taiwan. Shipments from Taiwan will begin in the second quarter of 2016.

This move was expected as other leading networking equipment vendors, including Nortel Networks, Foundry Networks, and Alcatel-Lucent have been moving production over to Taiwan.
